medium sized grey and white raptor marked by black shoulders ,which shows
a black inner forewing in flight.Upperparts pale grey; underparts white; black
on innerwing above and on wing tips below.
Plumage pattern unique among European raptors.Regular hovering ,buoyant flight;
plus large flat head thick neck aid identification at distance.
We enjoyed watching this beautiful bird for about 20 mins or so and its not
very often you get to see this raptor so close .
