Our first stop was at Los Lances Beach in Tarifa which produced; two Oystercatchers, Grey Plover, Ringed Plover, Audouin Gulls, Sandwich Terns, and Northern Gannets.
Then we had a short drive over to La Janda and on entering the area we could already hear Common Cranes calling out in the distant fields. A good start we thought, and so it was...

We were so excited when we saw three Bonellis eagles with three Spanish imperial eagles! What a sight that was! Such beautiful birds...
