Birding around Gibraltar

For this post we spent several hours, over five days bird watching around Gibraltar.
We are very fortunate to be able to observe sea birds all year round and then within a matter of hours move to the upper rock and botanical gardens. Here we can observe species like...

pipits
wagtails
thrushes
tits
treecreepers
finches
wrens
martins
swallows
warblers
flycatchers
shrikes
owls
nightjars
hoopoes

...and also birds of prey.

Some of the above mentioned birds can be seen wintering here and others can be seen when the bird migration returns and it won't be long before it is in full swing and we can't wait.

Here are a few photos we took.
