Collared Pratincole

We had great views of these birds with long wings and forked tails, a similar shape to a tern, but with longer legs and stubby bill.

Collared Pratincoles catch insects in flight with erratic movements and swooping manoeuvres over a wide area, making photography an exciting challenge.
